Sonship 101 Details:
Overview:
Sonship 101 is a once-a-month class designed to ground us again in our roots and grow us together as a family. Across the year we’ll draw from a series of trusted authors on spiritual sonship. We begin with John Kingsley Alley’s The Spirit of Sonship, setting the tone for a formative, Scripture-rich exploration of identity, belonging, and mission.
Format:
-
Each participant comes having read the chapter(s) assigned for that night.
-
We’ll unpack key themes and connect them to real-life practice through open, respectful conversation.
-
Practical takeaways and simple exercises to carry into daily life, family, and ministry.
-
Space to listen, share, and encourage one another as we grow together.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone in our church family—new or long-time—who wants a clear, refreshing foundation in sonship, deeper relationships, and renewed vision for serving Jesus and His body.
Why This Matters:
-
Re-center on identity as sons and daughters of the Father.
-
Learn and laugh together; strengthen trust and unity.
-
Move from concepts to lived practice—personally and corporately.
-
Ultimately, “We must Advance the Cause of Christ.”
What to Bring:
-
Your Bible, a notebook, and the assigned reading for the session (The Spirit of Sonship to start).
-
A teachable heart and a readiness to participate.
Schedule Note:
Thursday October 30th @ 7:00pm.
